Today 5th November, 2009 our team at Webinito Networks headed by Hardik Mishra achieved a milestone in DSpace Customization by providing a facility to restructure community in DSpace using UI. Also called Filiator, this process would give the flexibility to Librarians to easily move Communities along the hierarchy of Dspace.

Currently, restructuring of communities can be done in DSpace only through Commands and becomes a big barrier for the librarians who would like to use this feature. A typical application for this Customization would be a Librarian requiring an entire community of the Department of Electronics to be moved under the Community of the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication.

Webinito has been active in Dspace development for the past 10 months and we have achieved substantial Experience in implementing and customizing Dspace requirements.

2. Implementation of Web 2.0 functionality such as Share This
3. Cross OS Implementation: Linux (Fedora), Windows XP, Vista
4. Streamlining Export / Import Functionality in Dspace

Webinito continues to grow in the Digital Library Domain and also as ambassadors of DSpace we are working hard on increasing the visibility of DSpace in India.
