Today, Webinito Team used Oracle 10g as the Database for DSpace v 1.5.2 and successfully installed that in our local environment. It was a big achievement since Webinito had successfully used PostGre SQL Database for DSpace but never Oracle Databases.
 
Since it was well established that Universities have long had the requirement of using different databases and Oracle was one of them. The time was right for us to start using Oracle DB as the backend for DSpace.
 
Webinito has been continously trying to innovate in DSpace and have contributed a lot by way of code and suggestions to the DSpace community. Webinito is into DSpace customization, Training and Installation Services. Webinito also provides DSpace Hosting and Dspace Support at very attractive prices.
 
Team at Webinito is working now on some very exciting customizations such as Migration of DSpace from 1.4.2 to 1.5.2, Integration of DSpace using MySQL Database, Paypal Integration with DSpace etc.
