Webinito starts providing services in KOHA - An Integrated Library Management System

Moving to the Library Domain had been a completely new experience ever since we started providing services in DSpace - an open source digital library management solution. Having had experience in managing websites based on Content Management System, Library Science and Software based on that largely seemed esoteric to me earlier.

And now as we slowly move from the Digitization of Library Applications to Library Automation Services, I find it really intriguing to learn so much about the Library Environment.

As mentioned earlier we are slowly covering the landscape of Library services from offering DSpace - Digital Library Management Platform to KOHA - an Open Source full featured Integrated Library Management System.

KOHA - for us means a new angle to our Library Division. Since it is in PERL, we really thought of not moving into this initially but looking at the potential it has and also the way in which it complements our Digital Library Services really pushed us to pursue KOHA as well.

KOHA - offers a lot of scope in terms of immediate realization of some core needs of the Library Services. We can integrate KOHA with SMS while Barcodes and RFID has already been the 'in' thing for any Library.

But how can Webinito be different in the services provided by it? Webinito has a team of Software Architects, Engineers and UI Specialist who have experience in designing websites for International Clients. Since we know how to design an application so that a user an easily reach what it is looking for.

This and a lot of other customizations such as providing customized themes to Universities for their Library would be provided by Webinito.

We hope that our entry in this Domain would help the Universities to always consider their options while choosing a vendor for their Library Automation and ultimately their Knowledge Management System.
